What if Hamlet were Batman?

Those are the kinds of questions
that the brainy creators behind IDW Publishing’s new limited comic series
Kill Shakespeare like to ask. More to the point, both Anthony
Del Col and Conor McCreery enjoy posing questions that lead to dream
match-ups and meet-ups among the most famous characters from Shakespeare’s
venerable pantheon, all of which unfold in a fantastical Elizabethan
dreamworld that’s equal parts Sunnydale High and the Globe Theater.

off, yes, I know. This review is a bit late. But I have a perfectly
reasonable excuse, which I won’t bore you with. But the (perhaps only)
advantage to writing a delayed game review is that I get to see what all
of the other critics have had to say about the game. Certainly
interesting, when you’re going to write a dissenting opinion (as I am
about to). Read on for my full review!

pasty couch potatoes! It is I, Deathspank. Hero to the downtrodden.
Vanquisher of evil. Dispenser of Justice. The litany of my heroic deeds
will surely be sung in songs and told in tales for generations to come.
But with the realization that there is little money in the recounting of
my deeds in bars and bedtime stories, I’ve taken the advice of my agent
and decided to branch out into new markets. And so I’m proud to endorse
my new, official video game Deathspank. Available now!

The choice for 2010: Australian hit drama McLeod’s Daughters (2001-2008).

I had previously watched a few episodes on German afternoon television, but as is the plight with so many good shows, the German dubbing leaves a lot to be desired. Especially since Australians have that cool accent. Without this accent, the show might as well have been set somewhere on a ranch in America. But it’s not: it’s the Australian outback, complete with cattle, sheep, horses and Utes (pronounced “yoots” as in “utility vehicles” or pickup trucks).
